Vulcan Salute

The Vulcan to the Sky Trust is dedicating its 2012 flying programme to celebrating the Diamond Jubilees of Her Majesty The Queen and the Vulcan Aircraft.

This is a unique opportunity for individuals and companies to join in partnership with the Vulcan to the Sky Trust, to help us recognise all that is Great in Britain, particularly its aviation heritage and engineering achievements, during the sixty years of Her Majesty’s reign.

Running through May to September, visiting over thirty destinations and touring Britain as no other icon can, Vulcan XH558 will be seen by millions of people. The names of all those who support the tour will be recorded in a hand-tooled leather book to be flown in the Vulcan, and later presented to Her Majesty in a specially commissioned rosewood case.

You still have an opportunity to take part and be entered in a second volume that is being prepared now. This will have at least one flight in the aircraft before being made and presented in a slip-case with the main edition to Buckingham Palace in the Autumn. Entries for this edition will close on 24th August 2012.

With just £5 asked to cover a name and £10 for a name and short message, it's a unique way of adding your congratulations to Her Majesty in this her Diamond Jubilee Year.
